Alix Klingenberg Photography is an independently-owned studio dedicated to bringing creative, affordable wedding photography to awesome couples in Chicago and everywhere else. Alix is obsessed with people and primarily with faces, expressions, interactions, and tiny moments other people miss. She is a sort of photographic ninja, often getting the comment, “I didn’t even know you were there!” That isn’t to say that she has a quiet or subdued persona, but rather that she can blend-in chameleon-like to pretty much any environment and make people feel comfortable with her presence. She loves to shoot candids and revels in capturing the beginnings of a smile, the crackle of laughter, or the moment the groom realizes just how lucky he is. Though some of the most honest moments are snapped when she is not being observed, Alix realizes that a true portrait is one acknowledged by both subject and photographer, and she is first and foremost a portrait photographer. Without a doubt, her favorite part of being a photographer is the true connection she makes with people. She is honored every time she is invited to participate in someone’s wedding day and just might tear-up during your vows.
